The Webring for Drupalers!
What Is This?
This page contains information for a Webring constructed using webringu to showcase and connect blogs, personal websites, project pages, individuals, and others who work with or talk about Drupal.
Anyone is free to submit an application to join this webring, so come and join the community and let's get connected!
Rules
All applications are subject to manual approval by a human to verify that they are in compliance with the following rules before being accepted.
To join this webring, member websites must:
- Be publicly accessible
- eg. no basic auth on the majority of pages
- no dead websites
- Deal with or discuss Drupal in some way
- Non-code based topics are more than welcome!
- Websites may cover topics other than Drupal
- Deal with content that is appropriate for most audiences (age range 13+)
- Display the webring members HTML code on the landing page within 2 weeks of approval (eg. in the footer or a sidebar)
- Users may customize or stylize this code as needed, but it should still function
- The web ring doesn't have to be on all pages, just the page that people land on when they arrive via the webring.
- Abide by the Drupal Code of Conduct
Furthermore, member websites must not:
- Promote bigotry, sexism, racism, ableism, homophobia, colonialism, violence, religious extremism, white nationalism, transphobia, explicit or sexual content
- Be an unsafe space for LGBTQIA+ communities
- Be an unsafe space for neurodivergent communities
- Promote, contain, or distribute malware
- Promote scams, adware, multi-level marketing, or dishonest business practices (eg. pyramid schemes, Ponzi schemes, etc.)
If a member is found to be in violation of the rules (or the CoC), they will be removed.
Members Code
All members of the Drupalers Webring must display a widget on their website that gives users a way to traverse the webring. This doesn't need to be on all pages, just the landing page you submit at application time. For example, if you have a tags page that shows all of your posts about Drupal, feel free to put the widget there and share that page in your application.
The basic implementation is as follows
<div>
<a href="https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring"><b>Drupalers Webring</b></a><br/>
<a href="https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring?action=previous">previous</a>
<a href="https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring?action=random">random</a>
<a href="https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring?action=next">next</a>
</div>Minimum Requirements
- A link back to the webring page:
https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring - next links to
https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring?action=next - previous links to
https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring?action=previous - random (optional) links to
https://abmurrow.com/drupalers-webring?action=random
However, please feel free to get creative with it! Feel free to use buttons, images, custom fonts, different layouts, etc., just so long as visitors have a way to go forward and backward in the ring, and understand what they're interacting with.
Badges
Feel free to use these 88x31 badges on your website. You may embed the images or host them yourself. Both are OK!
